Get Involved
More and more older people want to take an active part in their community and the world at large.
Here you'll find a host of ideas for getting involved and making a contribution - from writing a story to volunteering for a local charity.
Send your stories - our Voice of Experience section wants written contributions from older people about how they see the world around them, both today and from their past. Send us a story, poem, remembrance, anecdote or any written piece that explains how you view or feel about the world. Voice of experience stories section
Send your photos - our Voice of Experience area also has a section for images. Send us a photo, drawing or painting (in electronic format) so that we can share it with others across the region. Voice of experience images section.
Volunteer - thousands of older people across the region share their experience, knowledge and skills through volunteering. Whatever your interest or abilities, there will be a volunteering opportunity that matches your needs. Click on the volunteer link on the left to find out how to contact voluntary organisations and offer your help.
